Just tought i would mention quickly for anyone who hasnt thought of this.

If you are growning veg ect you need to label the rows when they are young, i currently take a few stright branches of a trees and split them down with my knife and point the ends as my labels instead of buying plastic ones.

bit of pratise with a knife if you havnt split much braches.

We draughtproofed all our sash windows and were left with the old parting bead and sash beads. They make brilliant row markers, very easy to just cut a short length off when you need to

My first year of growing (last year) i didnt bother with any labels etc even on the seeds in the trays.....I wont be making that mistake again, a blooming nightmare working out what was what :roll:

I always do that. You think you'll remember but you never do :lol:

I write what`s where on a wee piece of paper and pin it on a pinboard or magnet it to the fridge. :D
