I think in pictures, so I went looking

This is a normal PV feed-in system (I think)

And this one is a Hybrid PV and ST system, according to the blar PV is more efficient if cooled below 25C..... I didn't know about these

Ahhh there's the confusion
Solar thermal sun heats hot water
Pv electricity heats element heats hot water

I've got three Rotex solar thermal panels on roof , which was going to be connected to a 300l thermal store , with a daikin air source heat pump , but due to lack of money we went for a lpg tank and boiler .
But it's on the roof , we've heated the wee swimming pool with it , two summer's ago when it was warm . But it's not what it was designed for but it works .
