Have a look on the Westfalia and Tchibo websites. They might be good for jars and equipment. Before they stopped trading in UK I got my dehydrator from Westfalia for about 40 euros. It's 8 years old now and still working well.webmail4tom wrote:Yep, gonna make a internet round trip!Deeps wrote:Maybe a trawl round the internet is required, good luck.

I did the other batch of Onions the other day. I use my mums Dual purpose jars for dried stuff. These jars are older than me and still good.Deeps wrote:Today I'll be doing more onions to try and 'catch up' after my kilner disaster the other week. I'm getting there, will probably need to invest in a few more kilners myself but that will be on next months shopping list.

This is excellent for all things dehydrated http://www.21stcenturysimpleliving.com/
And there's an associated FB group https://www.facebook.com/groups/937950979564072/
I've found them both to be excellent resources for dehydrating and what to do with it too. We're on food powders just now - instant meals and soups

Thanks, I don't do facebook but I've bookmarked the 21st site to have a nose around.
I've done pineapple, they work well, cut up into wee 'chunks', very sweet if that's your thing.Brambles wrote:Grated Celeriac dehydrates very well as does Parsnip. I have a Mango in at the moment to see how fruit works.
