Deeps wrote:You haven't mentioned it but what about bottled water, it will either save you rolling around getting snow to melt or if there's no snow you still have water. The cheapest of the cheapiest cheap cheap stuff will do, 17p a bottle or whatever, either that or keep old bottles and fill them up from the tap.

It sounds like you've come on a long way though, well done, the other thing to do is make sure you've got enough fuel for your stoves, then you're peachy. :D
i do agree with using any pop or juice bottles you have , costs nothing and a good clean out , refill and store them away .

then sit back safe in the knowledge you have everything you need to get through the bad weather .
YES i walked away mid sentence , you were boring me to death and my survival instincts kick in .

oh yeah I forgot to mention bottled water I do have some 6 packs of 1.5litres of water of just plain water so I have some for the dogs to drink too. I'll get some more though with next big shop.

I'm also gonna do a big zooplus shop (dog food and treats) this morning before my bro picks me up to visit our stepmum for Mothers Day, then that can be on its way and hopefully reach us before the next lot of snow does!

My local weather doesn't mention any heavy snowfall before this Wednesday so food shop should be ok to get here and have visitor thurs so need some fresh 'lunch stuff' in.

I'll probably take dogs to collect more twigs and stuff as there's loads of bare one's laying about with all the wind we've had and them falling off tree's, handy having a dog bike trailer I can stuff a big bag in and a big rucksack on back of scooter to fill with twigs! :D

Never mind Easter, we're getting snow now, its not heavy enough to lie but its been fairly steady. The grounds been drying out quite nicely too, can do without it. On the bright side, Her Maj is out in it walking the dogs while I drink dirty beer and watch football. 8-)

Well bloody typical, I got a phone call to go out and help retrieve the retrievers so I had to go out in the snow too......

Well, I got an extra litre of olive oil in case I need to get an oil lamp o the go, got plenty of batteries and loads fo LED type torchy thingies and plenty of beans and the like for in case.

However, in my part of the south midlands, I doubt if the weather will get that bad. However I am looking forward for the temperature to go up as I am bored with it being chilly to be honest.

If you link the treadmill to a car alternator you could charge your batteries with dog power!
