Hi from Hampshire

Post by gunner7 »

Hi, I've been "prepping" for years but just called it never going that hungry ever again :D Hopefully I'll get some good ideas off here as to what I need to work on next to be more prepared.

Welcome. Are there any particular issues that make you want to prep? Obviously, not going hungry, but the economy etc. ?
In three words I can sum up everything I have learned about life: It goes on.

my main worry is the continuing poor state of the economy for working class people. I have survived two redundancy proceedures in the last four years. My goals have changed from collecting stocks of food and water (which I do have) to accumulating an emergency fund to cushion any financial problems. When I was younger I never had any spare cash and used credit cards for emergencies which then reduced the amount of cash available each month! Luckily I have learnt the error of my ways but I want to get a bigger stash together. The ultimate goal over the next 5 to 10 year is self reliancy.
