Hey Im SwiftyTech

Post by SwiftyTech »

hey guys

well im swifty,
im in my 20s
and i live in the uk

ive just started to become a prepper because its obvious things are going bad (world war 3? economic collapse? nibiru?) tbh nibiru seemed like a hoax but some of the info coming out and pics and vids has me worried.

i have 2 children (one aged 8 months and another aged 1yr 5mths) and a partner, as you can imagine i want to protect them the best i can and do my best to make sure they survive.

i dont have much prepping experience, but me and my family are making a start now, i have worked different trades while im not a master tradesman my skills would come in handy.

im looking to join or start a group of like minded people, who would be willing to work together to overcome whatever disasters are thrown our way.

if your interested let me know because the sooner we start getting things in action the safer we will be.

Welcome, swifty! I like the name :)

To be honest, I wouldn't worry about joining a group or nibiru right now - with a partner, a baby and a toddler, you probably need to get the "ordinary emergencies" taken care of first - how would you evacuate in a house fire? What if a storm damaged your roof (which is what happened to me this week)? If there was a burst water main, how would take care of the littlies?

Once you've done that, and built up some food stocks, you can start on the next level - there's plenty of info on the forum. Good to hear that you've got some trades underneath your belt, thats always good - any prepper items you can make yourself? Like a haybox, a first-run water filter, stuff like that?

Welcome Swifty,
You have a golden opportunity with kids that age.
I would not push prepping & survivalism on them as they grow older but involve them and make a game of it.
With good fortune all our worries will be a way off and then, when they do turn up, your then older kids will understand their parts in whatever actions needed naturally.

Again welcome,

ive started prepping ive bought some outdoor survival supplies already,

and after some of the latest pictures vids etc coming out, nibiru is looking like a real possibility thats coming sooner rather than later.

i want to be in a position where im prepared for the worse case scenario, whilst hoping for the best.

Welcome to the forum, I had to google nibiru, as has been said, I'd start with the basics like water, food and meds etc for the more day to day scenarios. We all prep for different things and what might be a priority for one might not for another but there's not a great deal you can do about WW3 or a meteor strike, you can certainly be sorted for floods or a loss of lecky etc.

Good luck with it mate.

Welcome. Glad you are prepping for your chosen issues. Please note the the Nibiru thing is not proven and comes under the heading of 'Conspiracy Theories '. We don't do Conspiracy Theories here at UKP. There are lots of places to discuss that on the web if you wish to. Not here though. Thank you.
