Hey all, I was hoping some of you could help me. I have a chance this weekend to go to Costco with someone who's a member, and I was wanting to ask some advice. Does anyone here shop at Costco and if so is it worth it? I haven't known this person long and I'm going to work on the assumption I won't get another chance, so I was wondering what people recommend grabbing while there apart from general prep stuffs.
thanks in advance for the advice

Re: Costco
Someone elses wallet
Be warned that you will spend a lot more than you wanted too, I have
It isn't always cheaper though, get a list together of what you "need" to get in bulk, get a price comparison site and list how much it all costs in your normal super markets, work out bulk prices too.
Then when you are in costco take a calculator with you and do some calculations on your purchases, and remember that unless it is food only you may need to pay VAT on it.
Good luck, enjoy the experience

Re: Costco
I love Costco. Their meat is superb, we never buy meat anywhere else now. Soap powder own make Kirkland, 400 washes, is good. Fabric softeners might not be terrifically cheap but come in huge sizes and saves you buying again for ages. Milk - 6pints £1.55. Cheese is good - I buy huge chunks and freeze it. They have rolls of 6 tins of salmon or tuna, and sugar is cheap.
I just like everything in Costco really. AVOID the cakes section if you're watching the weight !! There is a limit to how many cakes you can eat and Costco exceeds it

Re: Costco
I used to run a soap website Lisa that's how I got in, but certain employers/trades have membership agreements although I'm not sure what ones. If you know anybody self-employed then ask them to get you onto their membership, members can have a few people added at a small fee paid yearly.
