This week I have mostly been:

....doing secret stuff :D

Mainly lots of digging out a root cellar and using the spoil for raised beds. its a two'fer'one project.

What Preps are you doing this week

Using my time without work to get to know my local area better...armed with an OS map and compass, I've been out trekking through woods and over fields to see what's around, and what the terrain is like.

Found a massive freshwater lake, a river, more firewood than I could ever use, and a whole load of farms within 10 mins walk from my house!

That's just gone north and south for 4 miles, yet to go east and west! :)

Wishing that I'd NOT left the power supply for my laptop at the pub, so that I could have updated my Tesco online grocery order before the deadline at 8am this morning...I was going to reign in what I'd ordered but my machine had no power so I couldn't. The poor delivery driver is not going to be happy tonight, LOL!

On the upside...I'll have plenty of baked beans, Bachelors Savoury Rice and sauces for pasta!

Just ordered a load of heirloom seeds from http://www.realseeds.co.uk which will give me something to do while I'm out of work, which is also productive :)

Scoobie, they're brilliant. I've been buying my seeds from them for years and years and the varieties they offer are amazing. I grew some blue banana squash one year and had a couple nearly 2 foot long and 16inches round - made excellent soup :)
