It was initially the idea of preparing to protect my family and the first thing that really introduced me to it was on one of those american prepare shows

Hi ellsgold, okay, thats a start - have a look round the forum, though, cos we're a bit different from Doomsday Preppers and so on. There's a lot of practical information on here though, so join in and see how it goes.
