I've been toying with the idea of winter tyres but I think in the south east snow chains are uncalled for... The coldest its been down here recently is minus 11 with wind chill.

My preps have changed from guns, knives and tinned food to nappies, etc just lately haha
Enjoy (not sure its the right word) the change of pace, kids (like sh1t) happen  and if you've got a load of gear already then its back burner time for a bit on the zombie stores front. In a year or two I'm sure they'll still be good to go and you might even have stopped twitching and blinking by then. :P A wee one will take up a pretty hefty amount of your time especially to start with. All the best with it and as a good prepper I'm sure you've kept one card back for 'emergencies'. ;)

Seriously - take some magazines to read, some food, some drink.... you'll be lucky if you get a cup of tea on the ward, especially the bloke.

Oh and get hold of a copy of Sleep by Beatrice Hollyer. It's a great book on how to get infants to sleep by themselves and it really works.

hope its all going ok preparedkent.

im having issues with getting winter preps sorted.

I have been far too short sighted this year and not prepared the absolute basic- funding! beating myself up over this lots

I need to replace my heating as have gone from 6 radiators to just 1, need the system flushed and replaced but its all just leapt on me and not ready for it,,, so any advice warmly welcomed (excuse pun) think ill just have to put extra hours in and get it sorted in stages- but ideally it needs all doing in one go. poop  :(

maybe I should get a wood burner put in also- as a very nice back up to heat provision and if power is lost. any suggestions or feedback to wood burners?

car needs sorting- will arrange winter check at next MOT in October, will replace tires too shortly after that.

really must sort my car preps out as stated in a previous post.

I travel 150miles each way for work currently- its not fun, and if I get stuck I really need to know what I have on board.

my food and water stocks need to be rotated and replenished.

Look into all season or winter tyres they really make a difference to the point I was passing 4x4's on snow covered hills in my old punto
