Folding shovel?

Post by JonnyRambo »

Anyone have any recommendations for a good, well made, reasonably priced fold up shovel? Ideally something like a British army issued ETH, and it must have a pouch.

Thanks in advance

I got one from wickes years ago, lasted well, cost me about a fiver.
Says wickes on the pouch that it's in but if you don't mind that then it does the job for not much money. Was a couple of years ago so I can't guarantee they still sell them or they're the same quality but worth a look.

Something like a British army tool ? Why not just get one of those , there're easy enough to find and won't break the bank. I personally have an old acrow tool , http://www.oldtools.co.uk/military-tool ... -tool.html not that it gets much use as I pretty much always have a full sized spade with me in the van.

Thanks for this, going to get one this week. It's for my BOB so needs to fold quite small but still fold out to be at least big enough to be able to dig. I saw one on Amazon that looked similar, when I checked the dimensions, it was about the same size as a tablespoon out of the kitchen drawer!

I'll get one if you report back that it's a good 'un.
