Bovril with a wee hint of Tabasco, mmmmm, don't overdo it on the Tabasco though, even if you like heat, too much Tabasco and it goes a bit sweet and horrible, a dash though, warms the cockles.

Possibly the best ever cup of Bovril I had was at the Rugby. A Murrayfield Bovril has a nip of Bells in it, now that really gives you a glow.Deeps wrote:I'm witcha home girl. I don't know if its the same at all Aldi's but at our local one there are 12 pack tins of plum tomatoes for £1.44 (a whopping big 12p a can). We bought a couple slabs last week and a couple more this week. Personally I prefer pasata but at that price.....

Bovril? blerk. Marmite? £4 for a 500g jar at Iceland - I get through one every 4-5 months. I do think I deserve a prize
Got to the end of Series 1 of Survivors, rabid dog packs and all. Think I'll lay off a while, even though I know what's in store, they're only really entertainment and I have other boxsets calling me.
Looks like I'm working on bags this weekend - my EDC is a tad too heavy, I'm sure I can lighten it a bit. All the stuff gets in the way, so I'm getting all the old bags out and seeing what I can do. The go bag needs an update too.

I've nearly finished series 2 (again). You're right its more entertainment, especially the 70's clothes and distinct class differences.
I've got season one (not sure when series became seasons but I digress
Hoping the weather holds for tomorrow, I've got stuff in the garden/shed stuff to finish off and some wood to saw, I've got stuff on the dehydrator and a backlog still to do, a couple of pineapples for starters but I'll need to get rid of any hint of onion first. Oh, and sort out some seeds.
