Hampshire prepper signing in

Post by Offgrid »

Hi, I've just joined the forum and am saying hello.
I've been something of a closet prepper for quite a few years. By that I mean I've had tons of gear and have camped a lot across Europe and the UK, both officially and stealthily. I recently realised it's not much good having the gear but not being ready to use it.Now I'm just getting organised with bug out bags, bug out toolkits, plans for different scenarios, preparing a vehicle and a load carrying mountain bike and looking for suitable land (i.e. cheap and secluded). Also I'm starting to store food, water, medical supplies and other gear for a bug in scenario.
Naturally I don't broadcast my prepping perversion to the locals as thats a pretty good way of getting a lot of uninvited guests in the event of shtf. My son who comes along camping is now a teenager so naturally regards anything I say or do as stupid. Should the shtf it will be one bright point to be able to say "Who's a daft old fart now?"
I joined this forum to be able to chat with some like minded folk and maybe share some plans and resources.
Cheers guys.

Andy .
Just a wee reminder that you need to have 10 posts (not in the welcome thread) before you can PM.

Hi, I'm brand new to forums, but I'm also from Hampshire, so thought I'd say hi. I'm in a pretty large group based in Cumbria but we have members all over. If your interested in joining were in the making of a southern division. Give me a shout....
