Price of TEA to increase drastically
Re: Price of TEA to increase drastically
The cost of many things has gone up. The cost of a fry up at the local cafe has gone up by about a £1 which is a pain for me as that fry-up is a good post workout meal for me for when I have been using the outdoor gym.... which I wont do when its freezing.....

Hahaha, this was really funny. When I read the title, I was thinking "Those brits and their tea" .
Will this effect me? No. I can't drink regular tea due to a heart problem, it has to be decaffeinated. Decaffeinated tea is horribly expensive so I mostly drink herbal teas instead and herbal tea is something I can produce myself.

And to make matters worse Toblerone have swapped their chocolate/notch ratio so I'm getting less product and more air for my money
MissA: I've tried many herbal "teas" and found them lacking something.... Flavour for a start

You laugh, but during WWII the German High Command put serious thought into disrupting supplies of tea to the British Army in North Africa - thought the slump in morale would be worth a couple of Panzer Divisions.MissAnpassad wrote:Hahaha, this was really funny. Tasteless? There are several herbal teas that taste more than regular. Like Hibiscus tea (taste just like cranberry juice), Yarrow and Norway spruce-sprouts. Another oof my favorites is Linden flower tea. And if you ferment the leavs of rosebay willowherb it tastes just like regular tea.ForgeCorvus wrote: MissA: I've tried many herbal "teas" and found them lacking something.... Flavour for a start

Hahahaha. So instead of bombing you, the terrorists should just stop all of the tea imports to the UK.featherstick wrote: You laugh, but during WWII the German High Command put serious thought into disrupting supplies of tea to the British Army in North Africa - thought the slump in morale would be worth a couple of Panzer Divisions.

There would be gallows erected before 8:00am if that happened round here and I've got a saw and screwdriver .. I need my morning tea fix to function rationally and normally

has any one else noticed , they have done the same with oxo cubes , instead of being a cube they have made them more like an x shape . it might not seem much but the bits they have shaved out all add up to a new cube . imagine how much they are making off the bits they cut out .
YES i walked away mid sentence , you were boring me to death and my survival instincts kick in .

So, these are recipes ? I'll admit I've only had dealings with the stuff in bags my SIL drinks (insert "Shudder" emoticon here)MissAnpassad wrote: Tasteless? Could you please post a "Non-tea Teas for dummies" thread?

The Terry's chocolate Satsuma eh? How long will it be before there's no difference between celebrations and the real thing?
I have a strategy, it's not written in stone, nor can it be, this scenario has too many variables, everything about it depends on those variables, being specific is not possible.
