I often pop into poundland and now and agian I buy stuff, it tends to be simple stuff, I got some cracking 14L plastic boxes with lids a couple of weeks ago. Anyhoo while I was in there today I found some Antislip Grips. For a pound I'll give 'em a go.
And here's one out of the box.

You stick your toe into the squarish hole and pull the double barred section onto the heel.sniper 55 wrote:How does that fit on your boot?
I've something similar myself, them being basically flat makes carrying them with you easier
I had a set of Yaktrax but they weren't good for snowy/icey pavements (The coils slipped on frozen asphalt and were lethal on drain-covers). YakTrax are probably better in less urban terrain then my commute

Nice price, I have two similar sets, cost more than that.
Like you; hoping for snow.

Two is one and one is none, but three is even better.

Thanks for the replies guys.

I've had a set of these for a few years now, they are fabulous, just don't walk on linoleum or you will get pinned to it.... like I did..and leave tiny holes behind you

Yeah these were one of the first 'prepping' things we bought and they work well.
