Could also try the industrial strength stick on Velcro too, that stuff is stupid strong, not cheap though.

quick update folks, i bought 25m of double sided tape (tesa branded) from amazon.

covered one of the mats in it entirely and stuck the other to it - rolled with a roller and stamped on it for maximum adhesion, all seems fine so far.

only downside is (and someone did mention this) is rolling it for storage, it doesn't roll up as small as a single mat but its no bigger than say an army roll mat you see strapped onto a bergen - overall its worth the £5.00 i spent on tape, just hope it stays stuck but I'll test that over time..
