Could you be specific please? This is a new area for me but I'd love to set something bigger up than my foldable portable panels.Warpigs wrote:My other setup is simply a 100 watt solar panel with regulator, inverter and leisure battery.

I'll have to go oot back, set it up and take some photos and specs. Preferably on a Sunny day! Currently blizzards of hail and sleet I'll post a fresh thread on it when I get round to it. Not a cheap setup but certainly workable, I had the inverter and leisure battery anyway (for an electric outboard motor) so the main bulk of cost was the 100w panels which were a few hundred quid if I remember correctly, you can probably get them a touch cheaper now. A little beginners FAQ here: https://www.photonicuniverse.com/en/faq/ but I guess if you are already using the folding panels, unless they are all inclusive setups, then you probably know most of that?Yorkshire Andy wrote:sethorly wrote:Could you be specific please? I'll see what I can do about setting it up sometime.

I've asked you twice to remove the links in your signature. We're not here to advertise your stuff. Last time of asking.Warpigs wrote:

Got me some of these.
http://www.mobilesolarchargers.co.uk/sh ... Micro USB.
And these can run off them.

AA and AAA batteries, plus I've got several devices that run off the 18650 batteries, charges them too.

I've been watching homesteader videos from the States. They're keen on USB rechargeable head torches because they're easy to recharge from solar. These head torches are more expensive than the usual AAA ones and I haven't researched them yet.

Whatever works I suppose but I daresay they get more sun than I do. I've got USB powered battery chargers (both AA/AAA and 18650/14500) but I'm going to have to get some of those USB powered head torches too.sethorly wrote:I've been watching homesteader videos from the States.
