Probably a below average prepper (yeh, I've read the rules and looked at the supplementary advice). Be interested to know what the average prepper actually does to keep up a good state of readiness!
I live in a SW village about 11km from the nearest big store.
I don't subscribe to the bugging out scenario because being an OAP (hope there's not an age limit on this site!) I prefer to rely on getting home asap if a situation arises. So I always keep a full tank and water in the car.
Pretty sloppy about stocks but keep about 2mths supply of rice and pasta and 3 containers of tinned food. Have also replaced my water tanks with two 100ltr sealed tanks in the loft.
Don't forget about stocks of medication if you are taking them (restock from surgery before running out allows a pile to build up).
Have put in a wb stove with flat top so can heat stuff. Got about 3mths supply of fuel.
Have light rechargeable torches and an imaging scope for night obs.
Always keep the oil topped up but have not installed a 5kw generator yet to at least run the pump.
Best way to bug out if I had to is to own a campervan. Still considering that but is costly to buy and maintain. Not really thinking that would be a good idea. Have a tin of Matt green paint just in case I get one.
Had an allotment but not now but consider it more of a risk for SHTF sits. as it will be the first to be raided.
Have no hunting eqmnt. but there are many pheasants roaming just need a way of trapping them. Any ideas (I suppose a simple air gun would do here), have a catapult though so need to get a stock of BBs.
Am reading the latest newsletter article about stocks so will use that as a basis for reviewing the next step.
OH not interested in prepping. Too domesticated to be of any use in SHTF scenario apart from testing out of date tinned supplies before I eat into one! Would not want the GKids around if it happens because if their tablets failed so probably would they! Place would turn into a mental home!
Well hope that's an acceptable start and sufficiently tongue-in-cheek! Old fart signing out.

Re: Posting an intro. topic.
Welcome to the forum, if age was an issue the site would be pretty quiet, we don't seem to have many of the 'young team' on here, a lot of us seem to be on the 'mature' side. I hope you find plenty of useful stuff on here.

Hello and welcome to the Forum.
Two is one and one is none, but three is even better.
