Hi all
Long term lurker, so I thought it was time to post.
I'm based in the Home Counties, with partner and kids. I've always been fairly outdoor active, having been a walker/ climber as well as some time in the TA too.
I see from other posts it's worth saying what I am prepping for; I've had a difficult 12 months or so (which is much improved now) but it led to plenty of anxiety that expressed itself as a irrational panic that WW3 was about to kick off!
It was clearly heavy mind talk which is pretty much resolved, but it left me wanting to get a grip and build some plans about what we would do in a major situation as a family. It was an interesting discussion!
In reality I'm actually just being proactive about everyday prep issues, not the big ones. Trying to add a few extra cans to the grocery shop was the first thing, along with simple everyday useful things like duct tape, sheeting etc - all things that everyday problems would need. Also trying to collate the things I already have.
Currently trying to improve our first aid kits, for the cars and at home and your advice has been great so far!
Thanks and good to be part of the discussion
