Just ordered some fuel stabiliser from here http://www.ready2race.co.uk/shop/shop.p ... ll&id=1229

It's quite hard stuff to get off-line around here for some reason. You would think living in a rural area that the country stores etc would have it in for the farmers but I haven't found it anywhere.

I have finally set up my second water butt. It is a rather precarious set up as the guttering I've managed to fix to the hen pen is a bit wonky, but I think it will do the trick. I have put a smaller waterbutt in the corner next to the drainpipe where the original waterbutt was, and cut a hole a bit lower down so that water actually drains into it from the drainpipe collector rather than backing up and going back down the drainpipe!

So I am feeling much better about the water situation, and curious to see how much water actually collects off the little roof above my window and off the roof of the hen pen. I might not feel so depressed when it rains now, if I know I am collecting it  !

Right, I'm off to sow some seeds whilst I'm in the mood, see you all later! xx

Monocular came! Very quick.

I had a quick look out of the window with it and it seemed great, but I've yet to take it outside and give it a proper bashing. Should be handy addition to the EDC, and it weighs hardly anything.

Been to Lidl - stocked up on TP, bags of compost at £1.99, BBQ charcoal, bread rolls for the freezer (these have not shunk in size unlike the big supermarkets) and, my all time fav and essential item -..........................Chocolate Croissants :D :D

They also had large tarps for £3.99. Will be going back for some more.

Have done some planting this afternoon, just in time for the rain. Beetroot, carrots, parsnips and peas in the beds. Toms, beans (runner & french), chilli pepper and courgette in the greenhouse. Also a pot of lettuce and a pot of radish in the greenhouse.
Feels good to be out there :D

Places like B&Q do it for petrol, and I found out that Machine Mart does fuel additives, but that was a few years back and I can't see it in the catalogue this time around, but if you have one nearby a visit might get them to order some in :D

Not down this way they don't, I looked in all the big DIY chains, builders merchants, machine mart and all the tool hire shops on the estate where I work, the country stores, camping and caravan shops,....even in a chandlerys. None at all. And as for Halfords...the halfwit didn't even know what i was talking about.
