Distance Learning courses to gain a radio amateur license

Post by Hamradioop »

The Bath Based Distance Learning Team are starting to plan for their next course, which will run from January to July 2014. There are no fees for the training but students will need a copy of the RSGB Advance! textbook and will, of course, need to pay the exam fee of £37.50. The exam can be sat either in Bath or at any local exam centre. Pass rates for those that sit the exam after the Distance Learning have been between 90 and 100 percent since the courses started in 2011. Further details can be had from Steve Hartley, G0FUW,

Thanks for this! I keep faffing about with a course, but I *really* don't want to attend one right now, and I'm very used to distance learning ... this will suit me :)

Anyone who is hesitating give it a go.

I did the Bath based course, and passed.

The support is superb. you will need to set aside time very week.
