No, every year I say I must but then never get round to it. Have loads of elderflower trees near us so would be able to make lots.
But have no money this month to buy necessary bottles etc. so won't be this year :(

In a few months though the berries will be out and I'll try elderberry jam :)

Have a try at the local restaurants, or hotels if you need bottles, I got a load from a bottle bank after Christmas a few years back, no room inside so they stacked them neatly outside :mrgreen: a quick rinse out and then soaked in bleach soon cleans them.

A fermentation bottle is quick and easy to make from a 5ltr water bottle from a super market.

Well, when you get round to making some we will have to meet up for a champagne soiree! :D

Oooh good idea ! My dad was always making wine and it always blew up in the pantry. My mother was a nervous wreck and wore a tin helmet when she went in there.

Sounds like secondary fermentation, needed for the Elderflower champagne, but in other wines not always a helpful scenario :shock:
