Hi everyone

Post by saint-pete »

Hello there, my name's Pete, I'm from Bristol. A total stranger to prepping, but with the current unstable situation with my job I've started thinking of possible rainy days and by extension about power cuts, civil unrest and so on. I got interested in prepping after looking through the threads here, you seem knowledgeable, experienced and nice people :) Going to read hard and occasionally add my two cents. Thank you for having me.

Welcome to the forum Pete, as you're a self confessed newb the best advice I can give is don't rush in, prepping is a broad subject and there are lots of things that can catch your eye. Start with the basics of water, food (and something to cook it if the gas/lecky fails) and build from there. Don't get caught up with what others have, its whatever works for you and enjoy it.

Hi there
I'm also new to this, the guys on the forum have been very supportive and friendly and are a great help.
Look at the threads and the advice given and then build from there.

Welcome Pete, sorry you're getting the sense that your job is under threat, but I hope that you can get some valuable info here for you and your family.
