I order from Realseeds, unlike many sites their postage is tiny. Lot less than it would cost in petrol for me to go looking for a shop

I've used them for a few years Axel - dont always remember to save the seeds  but their postage is cheap. Some of the fancier places and ebay, charge a lot more.

Bit fedup this year with seeds. Out of a whole pkt you're lucky to get a dozen plants. Or maybe my compost is not too great. I think I might just save the seeds for a day when I might need them and just buy some veg plants instead. Man in the next village has a big polytunnel and sells stuff at the church fair- last year his veg was 25p per plant so not too bad but not dirt cheap either..

We had to grap some plants last year as we lost a few seeds/seedlings. Don't feel too down about it. 25p and you will hopefully get lots of veg from 1 plant so still makes economic sense.
This year my french beans are doing really well, but out of 10 runner beans only 1 seed is sprouting!! :( Thats just the way it goes sometimes.

Su do you have your beans on a trellis thingy for them to climb? Would you post a photo of how you are growing them? I haven't got mine in yet but will need to do it over the next few weeks.
