10amp job.
Says listing removed. I'm assuming it's a charge controller? Be prepared to dig deep...it's amazing how many bits and pieces you need when you start assembling your own solar array rather than using a pre-bought kit! But it's huge fun! :D Do keep us informed...and with pictures!!! :D

Aye, its a charge controller, cost about 14 quid. I've got an extra few hundred quid I wasn't expecting so I'm pressing on with it. Still swithering over the panel and batteries, seen some but trying to get the right ones. It is fun though.

Well if your on a bit of a budget I can recommend eco worthy solar panels, I've been using a few of them for a few years now and they have good output and have been very reliable and they are well made, they have survived the harsh winters we get here with no problems at all.

Thanks for the advice, its much appreciated, I'll have a nose, the cheaper the better, it leaves more spendies for prepper toys. :D

Just had a nose, I take it there's no issues with it being in dollars, are the delivery costs on the hefty side ???

Thanks Pete, if the prices are comparable that might make life easier.

Having to have a rethink about the panel, next door's plants cast a bit of a shadow on the side of the shed I was going to use. Might go for a free standing panel, more research required.

Personally I use one of these

https://www.amazon.co.uk/RAVPower-Folda ... B01E8PCB8Q

does the job great and after a lot of research it came out better reviewed than Anker and Goal Zero.

Hope it helps,

I've got a travelling solar panel, this rig is more permanent with a battery (or two if I feel the need to expand it) set up turning 12V into 240V for domestic use.
