I know this house, have passed it a few times. It's near Langholm which is a nice wee town. I like how they left in the gas lights for back-up. Only prob with this is that I'd need ten buckets of white emulsion on those walls before I could live in it..

How About This?
Re: How About This?
It's very nice, too isolated for me at my time of life. I agree with the 10 buckets of white emulsion. That's some wacky paintjob
Life isn't about waiting for the storm to pass, it's about learning to dance in the rain~anon

I'd love something like that, decor aside, but I can't see Her Maj going for it.

No good if you have to commute to work every day!

I actually rather like the decor!

I could live there and be happy. The decoration isn't what I'd choose but I could live with it, the trick in to get matching furniture.
Re: How About This?
I found something similar in a different location a while back. Set a few miles from the nearest town with it's own orchard and a little bit of land and set in woodland. Tried to persuade hubby to at least go and view it as the price wasn't outrageous, but no he refuses to move until he has retired and feels that it is too far from family.
Growing old disgracefully!

Issue with a lot of these areas is the job market or lack there off. It would be great to get a place like this, but even the internet speeds would be too slow to run a small modern business.
