Downsizing.Large houses and elderly occupants.Nothing sinister.
In three words I can sum up everything I have learned about life: It goes on.

Prepping myself today! Just back from an 8 mile walk with the dog. Was an easy canal towpath walk but just wanted to get back into some regular activity. It was a place near home that I've not been to before so it also helped me get to know my local area better.

Apart from the canal there are some really good cycle paths that cover Edinburgh, you're probably aware but if not, have a shufty. Loads of places to walk in Embra without traffic.Dave999 wrote: ↑Sun Sep 23, 2018 3:34 pm Prepping myself today! Just back from an 8 mile walk with the dog. Picked up 4 gallons of paraffin.Enough for the Spring greenhouse, and keeping the frost out of the outside toilet.Replaced all the smoke alarms batteries, touch light batteries and torches too.

Defiantly. I'm a fan of the water of Leith, Cramond, Cammo and the coastline.Deeps wrote: ↑Sun Sep 23, 2018 4:18 pmApart from the canal there are some really good cycle paths that cover Edinburgh, you're probably aware but if not, have a shufty. Apologies if this is an egg sucking scenario and I've no idea which bit you stay in but I've just found this.

I've lived in different bits in the past and when I was a mad keen runner I used to run all over the city. The old railway lines that were dotted around the city were brilliant. That was several years and several stone ago now.

I've found the old Corstorphine line nefore, that's a good one to lead me in the right direction to the water of leith.
Re: What Preps are you doing this week? Part 5.
If you're in the Corstorphine area, Corstorphine/Clermiston hill is a good walk too. If you head out towards Turnhouse there's some nice walks there too. Once you get on the cycle paths you can crisscross the city and you're never far from the road so able to jump on a bus.
I'm getting all misty eyed now.
