DIY Wood burner
Re: DIY Wood burner
Have you tried a rocket stove yet?
It's our home emergency cooking stove favorite because it's smokeless once it gets going.
We have a permanent one made with bricks. That one also burns coal so it lasts through the night.
I make a new tin one every year to keep my hand in. It's VERY economical on wood.
Here's a picture of this years 'tinny' model (without the pot stand).
This one takes 8 mins to boil a litre of water, and as you can see it's smokeless.

If you want to PM me diamond lil I'll email you a piccy plus a build sheet I did for others.
Re: DIY Wood burner
I hadn't come across them before is there any chance you could also PM the build sheet? might have a go over the next couple of weekends, my main idea for the gas bottle wood burner would be for a heating unit, although there are designs that allow the addition of a hot plate to the top enabling some cooking.
