mixed emotions, DMS hig legs RIP

Post by Citizen H »

Just letting out some emotional stuff (they say its good for your health)

these are a pair of DMS High legs that I got from my brother, ive had them for 30 years now :(

it came to pass that I've clung to them for this length of time as I do have a strong attachment to them and memories of how I came by them,

sadly there not a patch on German army boots that I now have (apart from having eyelets)

In their time they we're a decent boot to have, but with modern technology and material's they've had their day.

Farewell DMS's I will always remember you. :(

I know how you feel, 30 years ago I was happy with the 'High legs', they're not a patch on modern boots though.

I don't own any outside footwear that isn't a pair of these BCH...... Whatever will I do when I've worn my way through the Government's 1980's boot mountain ??

I've still got clothes I was wearing back when I first met Herself, they're near worn out and seem to of shrunk in the last couple of decades. But I just can't stick them in the ragbag

I did take a photo of each boot side by side as a comparison, they weigh about the same, but the build quality of the German boots is second to none, there is also a UK company that can resole them for £25, not that I'm expecting them to wear out any time soon.

I will get one of the soles once my camera starts working again !?!??!

So I used my phone to take the photo !??!?!

The boot on the left is the German sole tread, it doesn't look as aggressive as the British tread but as far as I can tell its just as deep.

if you've any question in regards to the German boot feel free to ask.
