A up mate. Give these a look - https://www.scottcountry.co.uk/
Good link. The range / selection of Gen 2 equipment under £2000 is quite varied these days. Under £1000 Gen 1 stuff even more so. I am trying to budget around £1500 for a (Branded?) scope with illuminator and there is a decent choice out there.
I know, fair play prices have come down. They do finance too

I bought this a year or two ago:

SOLOMARK Digital Night Vision Monocular, 3x 14 Infrared Illuminator Monocular Allows Viewing in the Dark-records Images and Video https://www.amazon.co.uk/dp/B00THZ2NFE/ ... CCbVDQ4BMS

I KNOW it’s not proper ‘night vision’ as it relies on pumping out an infrared light that has a very obvious glow when using...

But for me, I wanted to have the edge in a situation in a dark house or scrutinising the garden should bad things be happening.

Just enough to be able to protect myself/family should that be required.

Finally got the night vision sorted and its awsome. I went for scope model in the end as its lighter weight and dual purpose. Ended up paying just over £550 with 12 month warranty and 3 months interest free credit as well. (Already had some mounts, just need a riser rail now)

I have a hybridised H3T-1 fitted with an apertureless 80mm T3C-2 lense. Gen 1works a dream. Its a bit heavy but robust.

It has a laser illuminator I built plus an ir torch. 500m illumination range without anyone knowing they are observed.

I ordered myself quite an expensive kit recently for hunting:
1. Puslar Axion 2 CG35 LRF thermals
2. Swarovski NL Pure 8x42 with hear rest and harness
I believe some use it even for military purpose, but I want to use it purely for hunting deer
Why did I choose them?
Swarovski seem to be the best choice. And 8x is the best choice, at leat this is what I learnt during military training. And Pulsar is one of the best for thermals, there is too much info to to type

Received my Swarovski binoculars and Pulsar thermal imaging... Very impressed by Pulsar - very cool kit, lots of features, I can even project my view on a mobile phone and record what I see. Very handy for hunting
An update - I went out to hunt couple of times with my new gear. So far so good - I came back with venison in both outings. I wasn't that lucky before, even though I use a guide - my main problem was spotting the deer, even though I would be about 70-100 yards from it. Now I can see it if my guide can see it
Though I now think I went over the top - even my guides do not have such a good gear
I think the kit will last me very many years, do not think my Swarovski binoculars will be too old even after 40 years
