Re: A reason to store water
Thanks for the reminder, I've had to shift my bulk water containers out to the shed and at this time of year especially I need to up my 'ready use' water in the house. No point having it if its all frozen.
Re: A reason to store water
now that you mention frozen water . i have a layer of 1.5 litre bottles at the bottom of the freezer .
they`ve been in for a good while . do you think theres a need to swap them out as well as the ready to use bottles we have .

YES i walked away mid sentence , you were boring me to death and my survival instincts kick in .
Re: A reason to store water
No need. Water is quite pure, and frozen , even purer.

Re: A reason to store water
Had some bottles of frozen water in the chest freezer myself but had to move them out to make space for scran. Emptied my first 'pop bottle and filled it up with a couple litres of water for storage in the house, will top up another 4 or 5 to keep me going for a day or so, that will give me ample time to bring a 25l container in (each only carrying about 22l to allow for expansion) to defrost if required.
Re: A reason to store water
My 25 litre barrels are set up at waist height in a brick outbuilding. There are a couple of syphon pumps with them, so no need to hoof them about.
