No but I have got a big spare back room... north facing with a 6ft window.. if they were clean and bug free, plants could live in there overwinter. But maybe not enough daylight?

Might be worth trying? It might work a treat and you will have your own berries to pick? I would go for it.

Buleberries grow wild in Canada. I can't imagine they're that precious about temperature. Might be a different cultivar (Mr Google says "lowbush") but if they grow there they'll grow in Scotland. Mine survived The Beast From The East with no protection at all, which down here meant 4 consecutive days which stayed below 0C (not sure the actual temperatures, but about -10C to -2C I think), then days that just managed to get to 1C but the nights were still below.
