What do you need to do to food like flour pasta rice etc

Do you need to treat food prior to sealing and storing. I heard you need to freeze it for 4 days before sealing up to kill bugs and eggs , but I thought oxygen generators would kill anything do to 0 oxygen being present.
What do you all normally do

Hi and welcome to the forum.
The recommendation to freeze flour seems to originate from the USA, where food standards are lower. Probably no need here. I personally Vac pack my flour and give it a 24 hour freeze. Vac sealing keeps moisture and most critters out.
Never used an oxygen absorber myself. Never saw a need.
Far more important to try to rotate your stock.

If you do find crawlers in your food , take it back. In the UK such a situation is both unacceptable and illegal.
