Berkey filter hacks
Berkey filter hacks
I am wanting to get some of the black berkey water filters but can't afford the £395 for the whole thing. Are there any other water filter systems that fit the berkey filters in. It would need to sit in my kitchen so not looking for a bucket option I found a post the other night but didn't have time to read it and now I can't find it.

How about the British Berkefeld systems made by Doulton?
The stainless steel one is on my crave list but there is a plastic box version too.

Re: Berkey filter hacks
yes the british filters fit the berkey system and tbh are better than the berkey ones. They have a rounded top which stop the water spashing back at you as you fill. I wont be buying original berkey filters again

Local to me, I know the boss and he filters and drinks water from the ditch around the industrial estate as a proof of confidence.
I'm told pretty much their entire supply chain is UK based.
