Bingo!
In three words I can sum up everything I have learned about life: It goes on.

Getting the garden ready. Had a good 2021 for veg but hoping 2022 to be totally self reliant for fruit & veg.

Car MOT'd and serviced for another year, it's getting close to being diminishing returns where the cost to keep it on the road is equal to the cost of the vehicle.
Two is one and one is none, but three is even better.

Took delivery of ( most) of next Winter’s coal today. Stacked on pallets ( pre bagged) and tarped over. If crap happens in the coming months ,and supply is disrupted, we are covered. Also picked up two new Anker power banks ,and two more COB work lights.Oh yes,and a bale of straw for the animals ; that bug##r/s gone up in price!

Found the last cob led floodlight takes that much power it doesn't last long if you've got a selection of power tools can you get a torch / lamp for your chosen brand? There's something good about the basic old school white led torches with a few 5mm LEDs the batteries last forever
Can't see why straw has gone up the buggers have barns full of the stuff they got a blooming good yield round here at harvest, they've been sat on it after the dire harvest 2 years ago (Low yield and lots of rain they never got it in) they have been artificially creating a shortage to bump up the price .. can only hope for a dryer than average few months coming .. w
With the price going up many have shifted onto wood shavings which is like rocking horse manure at the moment

From the point of view of the farmer, the increase in prices is covered by one word...FUEL.
Whether it's tractor, heat/light or lorry the increase in fuel price is harsh.
As far as the distributor goes, I couldn't say. That's my opinion anyway, Andy. But having had to buy straw in winter, I know that the prices can be usurious.
