Hi all,
This is my first post:( Previous was locked as not introduced myself)
As a prepper and also a G7 licenced ham I am curios regarding prepper comms network.
Do you guys have a regular chat for the testing etc of your radio equipment ?
I think it would be a good exercise to see who is in range of who etc.
Looking forward to your replies, thanks.
Prepper radio Schedule ?
Re: Prepper radio Schedule ?
Hi.
As others have said please introduce yourself in the new members forum.
I am an M0 licence holder but like most others do do not give my callsign as it would end my anonymity.
Likewise regular networks / skeds are a rarity as again most preppers like to be anonymous.
Regards
Appin

Point taken. Also I HAVE posted in the introduction section. Seems like this forum has become extinct.

Yes you have posted, and thank you. The radio comms thread is not the area that gets the most traffic,as it is a rather specialist area. As a forum ,we are one of the more successful. However,I am not apologetic. All members have a choice to stay or go.Weekendwarrior wrote: ↑Wed Jan 05, 2022 9:45 am Point taken. Also I HAVE posted in the introduction section. I'm not a licenced ham, but I'm on here, and I've been missing UKP, so I'm answering I don't think there is a particular prepper comms network in the UK. Ham radio enthusiasts often help out with emergencies via RAYNET, which I'm sure you know about, but otherwise, its friends and shared interests.Weekendwarrior wrote: ↑Tue Jan 04, 2022 11:17 am As a prepper and also a G7 licenced ham I am curios regarding prepper comms network.

I'm a G4 ham, Raynet is worth joining but the only way to test your equipment is to use it, go on air and QSO. I also urge all hams but especially prepper hams to learn Morse which is perfect for low power long distance/QRP DX contacts. I use Morse (CW) most of the time from choice, I enjoy it
