Just had a rubble sack of split and dried wood delivered.

£75. The price hasn't gone up from last year yet.

I'm unable to womble my own wood, split and dry it so I'm happy with the cost.
That’s a good price P.

Their smokeless is a good price too.I don’t make a habit of buying wood, but my bad back is warning me to take it steady…

That's a very competitive price and if you don't use a large amount, cheaper than buying your own equipment

Did a run to the glaziers today ( cleaning & sorting the greenhouses for Spring planting). Wanted to lay in a spare glass panel for the woodburning range and swap out a few cracked panes from the greenhouses. Decided to lay in a few spare large sheets of glass that I can cut to size as needed.

Popped to the Range for Jeyes fluid (£6.99 a litre - cheaper than anywhere locally) and picked up a couple of nice BIC lighters in the long "candle lighting" format for £1 each. They had no 10w30 oil though which was a grind - must remember to get some from the agricultural stores.

Supermarket had everything ( bought some extra veg oil before the price goes up - it lasts forever). Lots of areas looked sparse or patchy but nothing unavailable. That seems the way of it nowadays. Sugar looked really low but they might just be waiting for a delivery.

Fascinating. One of the side effects of bulk buying is that we don't notice price or availability issues in the short term.

When you say "constantly out of stock", does it never come into stock or does it frequently run out, then get replenished?

I’m sure it does get replenished but the last probably 6 visits to Morrison’s there has been none there! I still have plenty in stock and I suppose it forces some valuable stock rotation for me.
