Axel,

I have never seen them before, they are great.

Do you have to light the rope or is there a way of setting them off like party poppers with a trip wire?

I have a friend who supplies Pyrotechnic stuff and can get me all types of fuses including electical ones. Might be cool to set up some system where you have a button next to your bed and set them off if you hear a noise at night.

I will definately look out for them.

Anyone had experience of these?

The ones we used to use (they may have changed now as this was over 25 years ago) were just a case of lighting the rope, as the rope burnt down it would set off each one in turn. The ones we used had an interval of around 20 - 25 mins between bangs but I expect you can get different time intervals. They were %$^&* loud :D

I found some here for £27.50 for a gross.

Might have to invest in some and experiment with other ways of setting them off. Maybe a trip wire utilising a self igniting fuse for quicker ignition.

Like the idea of keeping people up all night, although I would never consider doing that myself. ;)

They come on a rope with 12 bangers cable tied onto it but i remove them from the rope and light them indiviually they have a short firework fuse you light or is set off but the smoldering rope. i was thinking of seeing if you can set one off with steelwool between to jump leads wired to a 12v battery.
As i said any agricultural/ equine shop with sell the black pather banger ropes they come in boxes of 12 ropes total of 144 individual bangers for about 38ish with vat for the larger magnum ropes. but you have to give id becuase people may use them in the wrong manner. any questions just ask. I could film one going off and post it next week also i placed one in a tin can and there was nothing left.
ill also get some pics of them on and off the rope and post

Thanks for the pics.

I am thinking of uses for the rope. That is a great slow fuse if it burns for 6 hours.

I will have a word with my pyro friend and see what he thinks about an electrical fuse for the bangers as a burglar deterrant.

sorry iw ould have got video but camcorder is broken but
i placed one inside a roll af tissue and place in the bottem of an old heavy duty metal bin and placed the lid on and ran. And the power shot the lid (weighs about 2lb) about 25ft into the air  from one of those little things.

Thanks for that Axel,

When they cut off the rope, how long would you say that short fuse takes before it explodes?

they pull off rope as they are only on by cable ties and there go off i guess about 5-7 seconds but never timed it but i tried with steel woll and battery and it lit.
