I'm a great believer in wool Frnc, I knit in Icelandic and Norwegian wool only, it's fabulous stuff.
Used the M&S website Andy. I don't trek to shops any more. Maybe they'll throw in free crisps with the order

Finally put up another large solar street light with the dark night's coming it's time to get the outside looking a bit more uninviting to light fingered oiks ... Big bright lights so they can be seen doesn't hurt

Not a prepper post per se, but when I left my work a couple of years ago, a colleague knitted me a scarf which I thought was the best present I’ve had in years. Better than the bottle of whisky I got from the rest of them.

I need thermals as well, there’s a shop in Edinburgh, it’s the type of traditional clothing shop that time forgot as it tends to sell old fashioned stuff, grey knitted zipped cardigans and stuff like that. They do sell thermals so I think I will pop in next week to see what they have.

I still need to get a camp bed from somewhere, I did look at fishing stuff online but haven’t done anything about it yet. Im also trying to get a sleeping bag that it like the Robens Prairie XL, it’s a bit like a outback/western style sleeping bag so if anyone can help (Robens stopped making them, God knows why)…

Managed to snag some Wi-Fi security cameras from Asda on offer. Not top end but do the job. Now have front door, back door/garden, driveway and garage all covered. Garage one also has a motion alarm.

This week's prep will be yet more jam. I have just been up our local park which has an abundance of blackberries and some ancient apple trees and picked free fruit.
5kg fruit + 5kg sugar should give me over 15 jars of jelly for £3.20 plus the cooking costs.

Next prep is to figure out the most energy efficient way to make jelly/jam.

2 x 100w solar panels wired up,lent against the fence for now. Pulling a reasonable 120w for their positioning.
Two is one and one is none, but three is even better.
