What Preps are you doing this week? Part 9
Re: What Preps are you doing this week? Part 9
Marks and Spencer sell tins of chicken in white sauce, chicken curry and steak in gravy. All decent.

Just taken all the smoke detectors down, hoovered them clean wiped with a cloth where needed inserted new batteries and stick them all back up in the relevant places and tested ... Good for another 12+ months ... Even though they say the batteries are good for about 36 months old habits die hard for the sake of 10*AA batteries it's daft not to whilst they are down being cleaned

Just been for an ultrasound scan to see if my herbal medicine dissolved my kidney stones. Unfortunately not. Damn sight easier than the CT scan. So I have to decide whether to just hope for the best or get a referal. I'll speak to my GP.
Abosultely poured down, and a car went straight through a big puddle at the bus stop. Phone got wet. I shoulda BEEN PREPARED for that. Hopefully no harm done.
To avoid kidney stones, make sure to drink lots of water.
Discovered a couple of alternative apps to Google, which wasn't showing the buses. One called Moovit was working.

My phone is IP67 so it'll survive a dunking.... Having drowned a couple* I decided that I was too clumsy for technology
It is a moron-phone though, so no apps available

As I spend a fair bit of time near water, I bought a dry bag for mine. If I get a dipping when I fish, then at least the phone will survive.
In three words I can sum up everything I have learned about life: It goes on.

Oh I love my apps. Especially the way iPhone and Mac integrate. I was surprised at Google Maps though. It got me around Tokyo for three weeks no bother. But maybe the problem's to do with the bus companies. Arriva were on strike until a couple of days ago, and their app wasn't working this morning either. Phone seems to have survived, thankfully.ForgeCorvus wrote: ↑Mon Aug 22, 2022 5:20 pmMy phone is IP67 so it'll survive a dunking.... I forgot I got this for the bike, never use it (as I keep my phone in the pannier), but it fits in my jacket pocket. Gonna start taking it out with me if it's rainy. In fact I'll chuck it in the pannier as well. I'm not sure it's a full immersion bag, it's designed for cyclists.

One each
And a 3 different piles of poop one either side of the litter tray and another in a blanket in the kids room
Plus the increased work load of 1/3rd more doors to open whilst the cat decides to step over the threshold
I got cat napped last Friday night at a friend's
