I notice that Asda have taken the bold step of applying a limit of THREE of any of their 'Just Essentials' products.
The limit is instore and online. The signs in-store say it's a temporary measure.

"According to MEN, strong demand of the value products, which launched in May, has led to products becoming out of stock both online and in stores."
Strikes me that a limit of three is a bit low. I can understand them not wanting to sell tins of beans by the case, but THREE? That's going to impact a lot of non-prepping consumers.
Signage instore was low key and I can foresee some fuss at the checkouts.
This is what happens when they try to supress supply and demand artificially. They want to BOAST that their tinned beans are 25p, (E,g. Price promise) but they don't want to actually sell them for that.

Everyone is going on about energy companies making billions in profit .
What about our supermarkets already reported in press for not passing on forecourt price drops.
Just as greedy as the energy sector .

So their ‘cheap’ baked beans are 25p ? Tesco have them at 22p.jennyjj01 wrote: ↑Tue Sep 13, 2022 1:48 pm I notice that Asda have taken the bold step of applying a limit of THREE of any of their 'Just Essentials' products.

Don’t like Asda anyway, their customer service is awful.

Walk in, buy three of what you want. Walk out.
Walk in again....rinse and repeat.

Two is one and one is none, but three is even better.

Re: Asda Rationing to Three x
I agreed with that I refuse to use our local Asda due to the attitude they have don't get me wrong a couple of staff are fine but I got escorted out of ours by the security guard by returning the attitude I got when approaching the staffed fag kiosk wanting to put money on the electric meter fob .. I put a pack of ham down I wanted to buy she snatched it off the counter marched it to the self scan zapped it and physically banged it down on the bagging area ... I walked over to the self service till then called her back to ask her where the f==k I put this then holding up the pre payment stick she told me to rejoin the queue that I'd been stood in before shed flounced off with my ham ... If I treated a customer like that I'd be hauled Into the office
And yes the ham got left on the till meaning she had to come back again to void it and clear the till

I quite like the "man section" of tools and the like. Not had a problem with surly staff but one thing that irritates me is that they don't sell unsliced bread. It's as if they are happy to sell us a circular saw or a chainsaw but don't trust us to use a knife to cut a slice of bread...
Re: Asda Rationing to Three x
I usually buy 4 asda smart price long life milks per week, and was very surprised when they told me 'only 3 allowed'! Originally, i thought it may be related to the 'animal rebellion' milk / depot protest, but that never turned out as they planned. So i put my shopping in the car and went straight back in for another 3. I reckoned, if they're rationing it now, there must be a shortage coming 'down the line'. The staff (Huyton shop) are all very helpful and friendly and i've never had a problem in 16 years of shopping there. I always go to the proper till with a real person, as it keeps someone in a job.
Re: Asda Rationing to Three x
I also hate ASDA. The food is awful and the staff and, unfortunately, a good proportion of the customers, are absolutely terrifying.
