Picked up one of those small gennys from Aldi and from the feedback I had since saying I've got one I am starting to wish I'd not bothered.

Oh well we live and learn :(

Problem solved - Genny returned to Aldi, got my money back. No fuss, no argument just refunded my card.

Technik wrote:Food, food and more food... I've managed to find quite a lot of space in a cupboard so went and bought around £80 worth of tinned food to fill that space :D But there's still space left so will go to Makro on Monday again.
Oh, and I bought 10 packs of 12-pack toilet rolls at Lidl, so that's 120 rolls for £11 :D
How much were the loo roles? £1.00 a pack?

Did you have problems with the one you picked up or was it down to the feedback you had ?

CC it was all done to the feedback I had received. It was £60 we couldn't afford to waste on a genny that would be of no use to us. So I will keep my eye for a better one that will better fit our needs.

Today (Saturday 16th) I did a recce on a BOL I've had my eye on. Google Earth and a little knowledge is your friend.

A large and very thick pine forest within reach of SE England, a clear river very close by, reachable by car and a little walking. When you're in it you're well in it and hidden from prying eyes.

For once I'm glad it chucked it down all day so I could have a right good mooch about without walkers wondering why that fella over there is checking out the lie of the land, field of view, going in and out of the woods ...

If it hits the fan there's one spot I know that'll do the trick.

My son is up on Skye for a week, looking for a fixer-upper or derelict cottage to buy for a holiday house. Guess who's going to volunteer to be caretaker .. 8-)

Does he need a housekeeper/gardener/driver/Girl Friday? I can speak fluent Scottish, and am very organised and good at running errands. DIY not so much...
