Hi Andy can i ask how easy they are to get hold of , they look like cut down shotgun cartridges and my biggest question is do you have to have a licence , we have section 1 not shotgun licence cheers , they look a great idea , i am looking at ways to prtect the bottom of the garden should it need it as i put a trail camera up down there i hid it well good job as we had a few people in boats pull up at the bottom and looking in the garden , we got nice pictures of them may well have just stopped to rest in canoes but another was in a little motor boat , we have a large amount of fruit and veg growing but also tools and stuff , i am looking at stocking in a barrel or 2 of razor wire that i can string between the trees at the bottom to form a fence in the event of people start robbing , because the way the country is going it is not going to take long , i have good lights out back and house locked up tight and the garage is locked up tight inside so no worries but garden wise i might have to take steps
On the note of heart attack lol i never forget when we first worked on a farm where we use to live , we were doing spud picking and the farm was having issues with pigeons and crows on other stuff and we did not know that he had put a gas cannon the other side of the hedge the first time that went well lucky we never needed new undies lol

Hi preppers I need advice please. We want an alarm for our back gate that will let us know when our neighbours are wandering around in our garden There's a path round the back that is shared access to the wheelie bins through my garden so I can't legally stop them - but every time I look out the back window one or other of them is sashaying down my path, must be half a doz times a day. Also seen their friends come round the back and along my path to their back door!! Then on Monday next door on the other side went away on holiday, and yesterday I see him next door going in their gate (not shared access) and having a good nosy around their garden She is in her 80s and just nosy but he is def creepy and I don't like him.
I have got plans to privatise our garden and fence off that path but that will be for next year if we stay here. For now, I just want to know how many times a day they're in and out and what they're doing. I can't stand at the kitchen window all day watching, so wondered if there was any device that would sound a bell or buzzer in the house when that back gate is opened or when one of them walks down the path. What would I look for? I don't want anything fancy that works on apps etc as we don't use iphones and the laptop isn't always on, just a simple infra red beam or something that alerts us. Any ideas?

Get a wireless web cam , i do not know much on them but we had issues with neighbours inthe street renters , i am up 24/7 most days due to pain and until pain meds knock me out i wander theh ouse look out the window to see the world and so on , one neighbour was doing major work on there house and well a guy in the renters started wandering over n the extension at night and looking in her window she had 2 youhng kids and her hubby worked nights a couple of times she saw him and her hubby had words but the people claimed to not understand enbglish you know what i mean , so they tried to fence it off with screening but he was seen again she rang us 2 am she had got up tp get a drink and saw eyes looking in so we all worked out we would watch out when we can so yup i was right in there i saw him a few times each time i would go out and walk up slowly and say hello but trouble was he was a drunk to they were new to the country and in their country i guess walking round yards was ok i have no problem with them being new to the country but it was funny i heard them speak english on their phone once to , so i knew he understood so anyway in the end we put a cam up on our house and the neighour over the road did and then the neighbour at the end got a wireless web cam ,now to the point as i could not see how it worked well but my wife saw a package dropped at their house outside the front door we knew they were on holiday and it was afternoon time and they had a rs turbo car left on the drive wife walked over to get the box and bring it in for them she got back in the house and our phone rang asking can we check their house someone is wandering round her phone alerted her the camera was tripped so may be get one that links to your phone and just vibrates so you know , as i say i do not use a mobile so do not know how these work but it has to be the best idea place it in a bird box camera facing outhe hole so covert to and then see you could also place one in the garden , i know what you mean about the linked back of old houses

I just want to see how often they are up and down my path and if it's ridiculous then I'll go to the HA and complain. She's the type that would enjoy drama so I'm not going to give her any unless I have to. They never come out after dark, next door up has fitted a very bright security light that can be seen from outer space. Cat down the road sets it off sometimes

Daughter number 1 next door neighbours built a garage on their house therefore stopping all access to their back garden except straight through their front door and house then out back
Then they began going through daughters garden ( semi detached ) going round the back with bikes ( all 5 of them ) scooters shopping the dog ..window cleaner builders etc all wandering down daughters path round the back staring in through the patio windows at her the three kids and the cat
She was going out of her head with it all .. mud all over bike tracks etc as well as the zero privacy
So up went a fence blocking off the front garden with the biggest gate and padlock on it and a bell
All hell broke loose with the neighbours you have never heard such a to do..they called her all the names under the sun.... but it stayed ..well after I went there and politely told the neighbours where to stick their garage
Daughter number 1 is a little more patient than I am .!

Yes the guy was very strange but the best was one night he was looking in her side window she screamed he just waved and walked off went back in his house , she called the cops who said that a car will call out 3 days later they rang her back and asked is he still there lmao , they never even came out to him , but after we complained enough to the police the people who own the house moved them on , we now have a nice young couple with a baby in there .

As to lights i fitted led floodlights in daylight spec 6400k yup i am sure the guys in the station waved as they went over , the wife jokes sometimes when a plane comes over low at night , hey have you switched them light on lol

God - seems like there's a lot of probems with neighbours, lets me see that I've been lucky for the last 30 years until we moved here. Our wee village had only 24 houses and no trouble at all. I've found a couple of things we might go for, so thanks for all your help preppers
