Hey Frnc, pretty much. I won't say I have everything but I've enough. There are a few tiny additions I'd like to get, like a few specific medicines, but most things, yes. Everything certainly fits. But it's not light. I just popped it on the scales and atm it's around 13.5kg. However considering everything I have in it, I'm comfortable with that. It is my bug-out bag and includes a tent and my sleep system!
If it gets to 20kg, I might need to chuck some stuff out.

13.5 kg is excellent! My winter 3-7 day bug-out bag is 12.5, and I spent 2 years researching and getting that together, after decades of backpacking experience. I first went light weight in the early 80s. But I did a lot in the 70s, including a 300 mile walk in the UK (Pennine Way) and 3 weeks in the Dolomites. My 12.5 includes about 2 kg food and water. Even if you need to add that on, you're still at a good weight. I know you got a much better sleeping bag than I have.space.gamer wrote: ↑Tue Nov 01, 2022 1:49 pm Hey Frnc, pretty much. Have you got some decent lightweight boots? They say a pound on your feet is like 5 on your back. Under 625g per boot is light. Mine are leather 650g each (Grisport Saracen), so not bad. People do backpack in trail runners under 300g each, but I wouldn't recommend that for preppers.
Oh, I'm very pleased to hear it all fits inside as well! Mine would have the foam mat outside, and a trekking pole. They are included in my 12.5 kg. I did used to backpack with a cut down mat folded inside, but I'm not as young as I was. I don't want to cut this one down, and it's a bit thicker too.
In the spring, you should get you tent pitched, make sure you know how to do it. See how easy it goes up. Which one was it, I forget?
