Re: blue badge
Use them to your advantage when you need to, I know you would of had to jump through hoops to get them.
Good luck in getting back to work.

Re: blue badge
It’s interesting that the government are examining why 50+ year olds are semi or fully retired now. The System is short of workers ,and the 50’s are skilled. I read that they want to push those back to work who may even be semi disabled or ill and are claiming. I am very close to 60 now ,so in that group. My view there is that they - GVT.- are totally unaware of how our generation have worked. I know there are ‘office ‘ workers in there, but back in the late 70’s and the 80’s there was a much, much bigger manual set of industry. Factories, tradesmen ,miners etc. Myself, for about 41 years a butcher ,operating in retail, factories, slaughter and catering. Damned hard work. I was getting tired and suffering from ( a few years actually) bad backs ,bad elbows, bad knees ,too many hours of work with no breaks etc etc. And less staff. In a two words - bl**dy knackered! And the pension age is up!Rusty74 wrote: ↑Tue Jan 03, 2023 10:52 ami have looked into what i can claim and was suprised what can be awarded to me if i want it,can understand why work shy people dont want to work nowjansman wrote: ↑Tue Jan 03, 2023 7:08 amI shall be going for one myself. At the beginning,my career teacher said that you went to work, paid tax and NI,and when needed, you got sick pay,or dole , medical treatment and then a pension. That was the simple deal. Now I am poorly, I am claiming what I’ve paid for under The Deal. Simple. Not being political by the way. Just memories.
I paid into a private pension ,under Thatcher’s Bunch. Pound in, and a million out was the idea Told me to buy a house ,which in fairness I did,and glad about. Trouble is ,it’s serious illness that will allow me to claim what I have genuinely contributed to. But I won’t go on…
I’ll nail what I can.

Re: blue badge
Rusty could you explain the 50% road tax reduction please? How does it work and what can you and what can't you do? We have a SORNed vehicle but that has to stay in the garage.
