I’m having to monitor mine’s for a week, average is 170/110. A tad high.

Anyhoo, I’m buying face masks again, Scottish government has asked social care providers to get staff to wear masks indoors when working with service users, we got the email yesterday.

It’s flu this time and not Covid apparently

Ah I see ..when Mr GG was at his app in clinic they all had masks on ..and gave out to everyone coming in ..hes deaf usually works on half lip reading and the rest me yelling whats been said ...he didn't have a clue

In the end up the nurse stuck her face close to him and yelled
IM GOING TO TAKE MY MASK OFF IS THIS OK ?
I was cracked up ...hed missed the first 40 mins or so
Ended up leaving with paperwork to read
Seems so many have this flu or whatever is going round ..

A CAR she yelled from behind the mask .. for all these bottles of ensure for your husband ..theyre heavy !

Friend went for annual blood pressure check at pharmacy today
Got sent straight to hospital as her sats weren't right
Somewhere in Nottingham
Last text anyone got was ..nothing with me no phone charger no clothes no money nothing ..toothbrush..anything and theyre keeping me in poss 5 days ..phone dying ...
Don't know weather her car is in park and ride or the hospital and no idea now what ward.. how she is or where she is !
Not even sure which hospital she's been admitted to

Like you, GeeGee, that makes me think of my own situation (after you thought of your detective work, sorry!) : I'm swapping bags and things at the moment, everything is everywhere. I *will* sort my EDC and my BOB tomorrow morning. No excuses.

Been sorting the EDC (now ready, kind of) chucking things in the direction of the BOB. Dear me. I didn't even have any water in either of them And because I order everything online now, I literally can't remember where my purse is please don't chuck me out

Before the pandemic, I'd gradually upgraded my plastic handbags, which lasted about 5 years, to leather, for environmental reasons - it's in the one that doubles as a laptop case, I'm sure. But I can't go in that storage room again this morning because the catsitting cat saw me earlier, and is **desperate to get in there

I need another cable for the phone. I have plenty of usb plugs, but not the right cables. And I don't know what they're called. My kindle (Fire 10) and smartphone (Samsung) both use it. You know what, unless I'm sure, I'm going to be brave and go in an actual shop there's a good computer shop in my local high street.

I think so, Andy (I let myself get left behind on phone tech, so I don't know the proper names for things, and I've regretted it ever since). Yes, the adaptor that goes into the device is wide like that - nearly everything else I've got, the adaptor is narrow. Does that sound right?

Yeah, should be USB-A to USB-C unless the phone is very old, in which case it would be USB-A to micro USB

If the hole is a regular oval it is C.

If it is wider on one side (trapezium shape) it is micro.

The A goes in the charger plug.

Best take the phone into a shop, there are a few variations on the micro.

The big rectangular end is the old USB-A. Computers still have a couple usually, and charging plugs usually do.
USB C is found on modern devices, but apple use Lightning on phones.

Hurray, the hole in the phone is a regular oval, so it must be USB-C. The bit that goes into the computer, or into the charger plug, as you say Frnc, the big rectangular end, that seems to be configured the same no matter what device.

Excellent, I shall buy a pair of cables that are USB-A to USB-C. Thanks both!

Just bought them, and some FFP3 masks too, plus some butterfly sutures to bring it up to free delivery. But it got weird then: I had to faff about quite a bit to get the free delivery box ticked, and then when I tried to get it to deliver to my local delivery place (because, catsitting) it freaked out and said the place was full - because of the butterfly sutures but its a dumb machine with dumb software, what can you do? So the delivery will be to my house on Monday, except the sutures, which will be priority delivery on 26th January
