Wouldn't waste my time talking to her jenny - she would love the attention. Apparently she's had words with half the village and most of this street. And been slung out of the Bowling Club and Village Hall Tea Committee (oh my goddd the utter shame! ) She is 85! I don't need an old delinquent in my life, it's got enough with me in it

Paper bag , dog poo, front door step and a lighter and film the panic
Saw something on Facebook about been overly kind and nice to people like that they start to avoid you I've proved it on a experimental basis with our neighbor but one told her she had two nails in her front tyre yesterday (it had nothing to do with me) guess she's peed someone else off locally (or the bloke I gobbed off at last week as he blew the horn at my mum as she dropped me off as he couldn't wait 30 seconds for her to reverse park thinking her car was mine)
If your roughing it, Your doing it wrong
Lack of planning on your part doesn't make it an emergency on mine

Remember the rule of the 7 P's, proper planning and prepperation prevents piss poor performance...

Fitted new smoke alarm on landing, optical, with escape light. The old one is ancient, but I left it up, so there are three on the landing. The other newish one is ionisation.
Did a few pullups and weights, need to get back into fitness!
Backed up my computer, as best I can. I don't have a way of knowing exactly what needs updating.

I'm on mac. I don't clone it any more I just try to remember to copy anything important to another disc. I do use Time Machine so I suppose I'm covered by that. That's the only app I have that figures out what to update. All my notes and spreadsheets are in iCloud, but I took my documents out of it.rik_uk3 wrote: ↑Mon Jan 30, 2023 1:19 pmIs it a laptop or PC? Time Machine is what I use to back my laptop up. And I have multiple copies of important stuff on other media.Frnc wrote: ↑Mon Jan 30, 2023 1:39 pm

Can't help you with Mac, they are pretty much impossible to uprade/future proof sadly.
Its worth looking around ebay/facebook market place for a cheap base unit PC/
I got this off facebook market, base unit SSD hard drive, 8GB ram intel i5 processor for £40, works perfectly and is now in my mancave running Windows 11 and radio ham software and replacing an intel i3 (which I put it in clear bag on top of my rubbish bin with a sticker saying "I WORK but not quickly" and someone took it home.

Logical thing I think is to get another SSD and use it as a second Time Machine backup.Le Mouse wrote: ↑Mon Jan 30, 2023 4:14 pmTime Machine is what I use to back my laptop up. And I have multiple copies of important stuff on other media.Frnc wrote: ↑Mon Jan 30, 2023 1:39 pm

Too complicated for me I'm afraid. I'll use Time Machine on another SSD I think. I like having my manual ones as well, even though I could forget something.rik_uk3 wrote: ↑Mon Jan 30, 2023 4:22 pm Can't help you with Mac, they are pretty much impossible to uprade/future proof sadly.
