There's certainly a bit of opportunism where manufacturers are pricing ahead of the curve to try to boost profits while they can. And each time they shrug and say "But our costs have gone up". Doesn't mean they are doing us a favour. Check out the share prices and profits of these 'struggling' manufacturers
