Restocked with x 44 Army main meal ration pouches. I don't see the point in getting a full ration pack, I wouldn't eat half of it. This way I get the meals I want. 22 days worth with a sedentary lifestyle. :)
Great set up that. Like you,I have a fair amount of meths for my trangia. I drink a lot of tea,and the kettle uses a lot of leccy,so during the day I am doing my brewing that way instead of plugged in. . Excellent and simple cooking method isn’t it?

That's my thinking too. Just ordered some more main meals and might have another bid in on a Trangia red

So today? I am pleased to say that my medical treatment is enabling me to do stuff. At this point. Therefore I shall get the workshop tidied up today, which for this prepper is an important building. I have timber to stash, and a spare kitchen worktop from when I refitted our kitchen. Got to paint the brick work on one of the sheds ( we are all white all over) . Won’t take long. I want to move my pillar drill to a different bench too. Then it’s a walk to the tackle shop for some bait. Fishing tomorrow!
I’ll sort dinner for later too. Sausage, mash,French beans and cabbage with onion gravy. I am pleased to say that all the veg is from the garden, and the rather nice pork slingers are from my apprentice. My kinda meal! :D

Those diesel heaters are great. Whilst my brother has a log stove for his Romany home, the diesel is the main one!

They are great just need a bit of care when fitting I've got a floor plate so all the exhaust and fuel fittings are kept outside the camper

I'm a bit annoyed I bought some expensive shorts, and my phone flips sideways in the pocket, which looks stupid.

Anyway, that's by the by. I just read that Apple say you should carry your phone at least 10mm away from your body, to avoid radiation.

So, looks like I'll be using a bag!

If you want to be even safer, I think you can get little bags that have radiation protection on the inner side.

There are pouches to protect from EMF, but they block your signal.

Vehicle spannering again ... Sister returning home top of her street lost the brakes on her car....

Never seen this before... The rubber boot covering the metal crimp ferrule hid the fact / held water and road salt rotting the steel away till it was unable to hold the needle fitting inside the pipe anymore under braking.. incredibly lucky she was going slow

She did well pump brakes drop gears and use handbrake gently

So tonights job... Dad was dispatched to the motor factors and returned with 2x brake pipes... Replaced the other side whilst we was on as if ones gone the other won't be far behind for the sake of another tenner it'd have been foolish not to
