You too, jansman? I'm hoping it will be as GeeGee describes, with woodchopping and whatnot, truly.

The mention of antibiotics by GeeGee has me thinking about probiotics - is there anything else for you guys? Not just favourite foods, but things that might settle your stomach, like mint/chamomile, or HM soup that you might try to use instead of falling back to Ensure (I remember the strawberry flavour of Ensure when my mum was ill, good grief, it was **so** bad!).

All the best to all of you.

Unfortunately the nasty tasting totally gagging disgusting ensure ( yes I've tasted it ) has all the vitamins and minerals in it to feed someone if they aren't eating and need weight gain ..you can do a full fat milkshake but its minus the added bits
I've still got Mr GG on feraglobin for the iron as hes as white as casper the ghost..blood cancer and all that takes the good bits away .. and papaya also ..been very good for his platelets ..ran it past the consultant who signed the chemo off and he can still take these two ..they were happy for him to have them alongside

Other things though may interact with the chemo so you're limited he can't have orange's grapefruit or acidic foods and drinks
Balanced diet when he can eat properly ..
He was a 15 stone builder now hes very thin and lost 5 stone
So unfortunately its the ensure to help with weight

Its like having a toddler who refuses to take medicine:)
He holds his nose and drinks it in one ... :)
Vanilla is better .less of the nasty taste but still awful !

It's *very* unfortunate, isn't it :(

Glad to hear the consultant is willing to engage and sign off on helpful nutrition.

GeeGee can you not get Complan? That tastes very nice and I lived it on for months.
Good question arzosah, I'm getting to think more of stopping all the vitamins and supplements that cost me the earth, and just trying to eat more - but it has to be plain and simple food. Cooked in a plain and simple way lol

Complan is ok but still not got the amount of vitamin and stuff on it but I do have some in though as a back up ..

Preps today make sure all the security lighting is up to scratch have both solar and plug in ..with the amount of power cuts lately added a couple more solar security lights so they've been charging up

Had a do at 3 am the other night when I woke up heard something ..nudged the other half snoring like a good one and mumbled ...
Grabbed the flimsy short dressing gown that covers nothing and went downstairs thinking if it was a film I'd be saying you daft sod wake him up! I've seen these films ! Heard more noises opened front door all the floodlights as I call them were on and some idiot in garden trying car door illuminated by the lights ( car has old fashioned metal heavy crook lock on steering wheel )
He screamed I screamed and chased him up path
He lobbed a wheelie bin at me went with a massive bang as I'm screaming like a banshee chasing him up street hes screaming running ...can imagine him thinking this woman is mental ...and undressed! All lights coming on in the houses :)

Took me 10 mins to put the contents of bin back in had a coffee went back to bed ..Mr GG still snoring his head off :)
Got up early realising any cctv cameras will have my ass showing all over them ..other half got up after me looked at me and said
Didn't you sleep well ?

So today I'm making sure that everything is charged up itll be darker nights again soon ..

Oh my word, GeeGee! Really, it never rains but it pours for you! Your adrenaline must have been going overboard. Definitely very well done on your part. Dare I suggest a different dressing gown?

My preps are **extremely** boring in comparison - I'm working on securing windows, with hardboard ready to put up internally, on half of the kitchen window at the moment, that's done. And I'm moving on to the kitchen curtains: what I've got at the moment is too short, and isn't full enough to cover the whole window. These will be very full and very thick, can still be looped up out of the way of the water from the sink during the day. They also look lovely, though the material doesn't like to be ironed  which realistically means its ideal for me

Thanks for brightening my day. Comedy gold, but with an edge. You sound awesome and gutsy. No mention of a weapon, so you must have a fine mix of brave/stupid ( no offence meant ) It could have gone really badly.

It would be funny if all the neighbours offered you the videos from their ring doorbells and there was more recording of your bum than of the scrote. :) You could go viral on tiktok or whatever.

Dealing with illness- and GeeGee knows ;) - I am prepping the garden right now. Not the veg side, that’s perennial mainly, but maintenance. The garden is huge, and stuff like concrete posts instead of wood for instance are being dealt with right now. Like the above,it’s a security thing too. Updating lighting also. All sorts of little projects that will save my wife maintenance, time, worry and money in the future.
In three words I can sum up everything I have learned about life: It goes on.

Covid 19: After that level of weirdness ,any situation is certainly possible.
